In Los Guandules, there is a church and feeding center where children recieve spiritual encouragement and biblical lessons on a regular basis.
The church started as an old, rented, one-room building by the river. After a hard rain in Santiago, the river would flood filling the church with water and debris. This disaster would occur many times a year and the dedicated congregation would work extremly hard to clean the church for the following Sunday.
G.O Ministries searched for available land in the community so we could move the church to a better place on higher ground. The community looked on curiously, as they seemed to laugh at the idea of having a church in their area.
We ended up buying land on the highest spot in the community where a bar/pool hall used to stand. We tore it down and now have a two story facility with a church and feeding center.
God is doing amazing things through Rafaelito and his wife Griselda. The community is responding to the genuine demonstration of God's unconditional love!
